Tom’s Cutting Edge Welcomes a New Owner!
After many years of providing top-quality sharpening services, Tom Downs has made the difficult decision to step back due to health reasons. In doing so, he has carefully chosen Alan Putnam to take over the business, ensuring the same level of precision, service, pricing, process and professionalism that customers have come to trust.
Alan has been personally trained by Tom on his equipment and sharpening techniques, making for a seamless transition. Tom will continue to work with Alan and attend the farmer’s market beginning in May.
The only change customers will notice is the addition of new drop-off locations in Lake Wylie and Rock Hill. Of course, we will have a Fort Mill location set up shortly for our Fort Mill area clients.

Service couldn’t be faster or easier. Knives were picked up within an hour of service request and back the next morning. My favorite large kitchen knife, that I use for chopping, dicing and slicing was dropped and the tip broke off. It had also gotten dull and my home sharpener wasn't helping much.
